保土ヶ谷宿の浮世絵

ＪＲ東海道線の保土ヶ谷駅の改札の横に、浮世絵が飾られていました。
ＪＲ東日本のホームページによると2016年10月から順次浮世絵パネルが設置される（た）とのこと。
保土ヶ谷駅は2017年3月予定、とのことです。（撮影：2017年8月）アルミ製の立派なものでした。

東海道五拾参三次之内　保土ヶ谷　新町橋

帷子川に架けられた新町橋、家並みは保土ヶ谷宿である。
供を従えた駕籠と深編笠の虚無僧、橋のたもとには「二八」の蕎麦屋の看板があり、女たちが立ち話をしている。
そこへ、笠を被った男たちの集団が通りかかる。宿場の屋根の連なりと松並木に沿った東海道を、江戸へ向けて男たちは進んできたのである。
宿の裏手の田畑には、鍬をかつぐ農夫と子どものすがた、日々の暮らしのなにげない光景が郷愁をさそう。

On the other side of the Shinmachi Bridge which extends across the Katabira river are rows of houses of the Hodogaya-juku. A palanquin and its bearers as well as Zen priests of the Fuke sect are seen crossing the bridge, while women stand around the buckwheat noodle shop Nihachi's sign to chat. A group of men wearing straw hats appear to be passing by. The group, heading for the City of Edo, have been travelling along the Tokaido Road , depicted in this picture as lined with pine trees and houses of the post station. The everyday scene of a hoe-carrying farmer and his child in the fields behind the inn adds a nostalgic touch.

浮世絵について

東海道を歩き始めた初日に保土ヶ谷を通過したのですが
ひたすら歩いていたのであまり写真もありませんが、その後　何度か　用事があって保土ヶ谷周辺を訪れました。
なかなか　史跡は探せていませんが。


このパネル。ぜひ　多くの方々に　見ていただきたいと思います！ほんと　立派。
保土ヶ谷駅は若干東海道からずれてはいるのですが、駅を訪れた時にでもご覧ください！
