* Susumu Ueno is the Professor of Accounting at Konan University, Japan. He received his MBA from the University of Maryland and his DBA from the Southern Illinois University. Ueno is the President of the Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association and an editorial advisory and review board member of Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Journal. As a member of the Japanese Association of Management Accounting (JAMA), he is the Vice President (2008-2011) and the Past President (2005-2007) of the Kansai-Chubu Region of JAMA and has been JAMA’s Executive Director. Ueno, a member of the American Accounting Association, is the author of several accounting books: Management Accounting; The Quest for Value, 4th Edition (Zeimu-keiri Kyokai, 2008); Budget Control Practices among U.S. and Japanese Companies; Cross-cultural Approach, 2^nd Edition (Moriyama-Shyoten, 1997). He is the editor and coauthor of many books. Ueno has published his research in various journals, including The Journal of International Business Studies, The International Journal of Accounting, Accounting (Kai-kei), The Journal of Cost Accounting Research (issued by Japan Cost Accounting Association), etc.
